Introduction

The end to the InfoPath Forms

As most Microsoft customers know, Microsoft has retired InfoPath forms, a product originally released as part of Microsoft Office 2003 family more than 15 years ago. This means that InfoPath 2013 is the last release of the desktop application and InfoPath Forms Services in SharePoint Server 2013 is the last release of InfoPath Forms Services. Microsoft will continue to offer mainstream support for the InfoPath 2013 desktop application and InfoPath Forms Services for SharePoint Server only through 2021.

The time to make a transition or migration between applications is now. Due to the time and work invested in InfoPath by many organizations, very complex forms created in InfoPath that support critical business processes need a well-thought-out conversion plan. It is also important to provide ample amount of time to test your new process to ensure its precision and accuracy. This white paper provides information about the benefits of using Nintex as the forms and workflow solutions for your organization. It also contains effective concepts and practical guidelines for transitioning existing forms to Nintex.
